AC4XO's Ham Radio Interests

News

I recently became of member of the QCWA, Quarter Century Wireless Association.

I hold amateur extra class callsign AC4XO. This license allows me to talk to other hams all over the world on the shortware bands and to local hams on the VHF frequences. I also design and build equipment and antennas.

My favorite modes of operations are SSB and CW. With SSB (single sideband), I communicate using my voice. With CW (continuous wave), I communicate using Morse code.

Hams sometimes exchange QSL cards to confirm their contacts. These cards can be used to obtain awards such as for working 100 countries. Here is my QSL card.
